What realistic benefits should I expect from my hearing aid?
The ultimate goal of amplification is to restore - to as large a degree possible - the full range of hearing. By that, we mean that soft sounds should sound soft, comfortably loud sounds should be audible and understandable. Loud sounds should sound loud, but not painfully loud.
You will once again understand every word of conversations. You will enjoy music and television once again. You will hear the birds sing again. Your new hearing aid will increase your quality of life immensely. We guarantee it.

How are you able to offer the same hearing aids as the clinic at such a low price?
Most audiologist clinics combine the cost of continued face to face support into the price of your hearing aid. This face to face support boosts the price of your instrument by thousands of dollars. We charge you only for the hearing aid itself. We offer continued support you via telephone and email at no additional charge. Some people feel the need for face to face visits, but there is a great charge involved in that practice. For everybody else, we are here to save you thousands.

What can you tell me about the quality of your hearing aids?
In addition to using the highest quality inner electronics that bring you clearest possible sound, all of our hearing aids are fitted with medical grade silicone earpieces. This provides the most comfortable fit possible as your new hearing aid will conform to the shape of your ear. Other hearing aids use plastic or acrylics that almost always end up hardening and cracking. Even custom molded earpieces are not as comfortable as ours, as once the mold is set they will no move along with the normal expanding and contracting of your ear canal - put your finger in your ear and move your jaw around to see just how much your inner ear changes form.

How do I determine if I have a hearing loss?
Since hearing loss is most often a very gradual process, may of its symptoms are subtle. As hearing loss progresses, not all sounds are lost at an equal rate. Most often, the higher frequency sounds, which contain consonant information, are most affected. Some symptoms are: difficulty understanding at public gatherings; straining to hear TV, radio, or telephone; asking others to repeat themselves; social life is hindered; smiling more and understanding less.
